Kognitio, a Bracknell, UK-based global provider of business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing solutions, has received a “substantial” investment led by CFP & Founders Investments.
Geoffrey Squire OBE, the existing majority shareholder in the company, also participated.
Kognitio intends to use the funds to grow its team and offices during its current global expansion, and invest in new R&D and partnership efforts.
In conjunction with the funding, Jens Munk, Managing Director at CFP & Founders Investments, will join the board.
Led by CEO Roger Llewellyn, Kognitio provides a data warehousing product, WX2, which is designed to offer massive in-memory analytical capabilities and speeds to load and query data in real-time for quick response to urgent business pressures.
The solution is available as a software-only solution, as a fully configured data warehouse appliance running on x86 hardware, or as an on-demand data warehouse-as-a-service (DaaS) cloud-based solution.
The company has North American headquarters in Chicago and offices in New York.
