Scale Computing Secures $17.0M in Series C Funding

Scale Computing, a Indianapolis, IN-based developer and manufacturer of midmarket clustered storage solutions, has secured $17.0m in Series C funding.

The round was led by Scale Venture Partners, with participation from Northgate Capital and existing investors including Benchmark Capital.

This brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $31m. In March this year, Scale raised $9.0m in Series B funding.
The company intends to use the capital to increase its market share within the SME space, expand internationally, develop its solutions and hire new staff. Scale Computing expects to triple the employees in its headquarters over the next 36 months.
In conjunction with the funding, Rob Theis, managing director of Scale Venture Partners, will join the company’s board of directors.
Scale Computing’s storage portfolio is based on its Intelligent Clustered Storage (ICS) technology, which is designed to allow users to add storage hardware as necessary without suspending services or migrating data.
It aims to reduce costs while increasing control, as well as make storage management more convenient for IT administrators.
