MirriAd Ltd, a London, UK-based provider of digital product placement solutions, has completed a funding round of undisclosed amount.
The investment was led by Oxford Capital Partners and STV Group plc., with participation from existing institutional and individual shareholders.
In conjunction with the round, Peter Bazalgette, former board director of Endemol and Channel 4, has been appointed as chairman.
Launched in September 2007 by CEO, Mark Popkiewicz, MirriAd partners with broadcasters and brand owners to place products digitally into existing media content (see how it works). The company has developed an IP protected software-based solution designed to integrate brand images directly into video content, post production. The system also allows to manage the sales process.
MirriAd, which operates offices in New York and Mumbai, is also backed by Oxford Technology Management, Seraphim Capital, South East Growth Fund and angel investors Bruce Smith and Stephen Bullock.
