Hatsize, a Calgary (Alberta), Canada-based cloud automation software provider for demos and training, has secured $5m in Series A funding.
Investors include Golden Seeds and the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).
The company, which serves tech companies including IBM, Juniper, Sun Microsystems and Symantec, intends to use the funds to expand global sales and marketing efforts. By using virtual private cloud technology to automate scheduling and provisioning over the Web from anywhere in the world, Hatsize provides hands-on demos, proofs of concept and training to prospects, channel partners, and customers.
In conjunction with the funding, the company announced that Jim Estill, a technology veteran, will join its board of directors.
