Electrolytic Ozone Inc. (EOI), a Boston, MA-based company that develops and manufactures ultra-compact, ozone generators that are designed to harness the benefits of ozone to improve the safety and quality of the human environment, completed a Series A funding.
The proceeds will be used to introduce the EOI technology to light industrial and consumer OEMs for integration into appliances and fixtures.
EOI utilizes synthetic industrial diamonds produced by Element Six, Ltd. (the company from which it spun out), as a key component in a novel ozone cell design. Its cells enable innovative sanitization, deodorization and preservation applications of ozone for consumer, food safety, health and medical uses.
The company also announced its management team and board of directors. EOI is led by high-tech veteran Wayne R. Lieberman. The team include Bill Yost as COO, Hossein Zarrin as CTO and Dave Lutz as VP of engineering.
In conjunction with the funding, Susan Wheeler, Managing Director at E6 Ventures, joins as Chairman of the Board; Brendon Grunewald , head of E6 Ventures, as board director.
