Celeno Communications Closes $12M Funding Round

Celeno Communications, a Ra’anana, Israel-based provider of semiconductors for multimedia Wi-Fi home networking applications, has closed a $12m funding round.
The round includes new strategic investor Liberty Global, Inc. (“Liberty Global”) (NASDAQ: LBTYA, LBTYB, LBTYK), an international cable operator, and existing shareholders Cisco, Greylock Partners, Miven Venture Partners, and Pitango Venture Capital.
As stated by Gilad Rozen, Celeno CEO, this funding will enable the company to expand its sales and marketing activities to grow its customer base globally, and continue to develop technology.
Celeno’s Wi-Fi chipsets, powered by the OptimizAIR™ technology suite, are designed to improve 802.11n Wi-Fi to deliver HD video content to any screen in the home including set top boxes, iPADs, wireless TV’s, digital video recorders, media streamers, laptops, and other devices.
Founded in 2005, the company also operates offices and representatives in EMEA, the U.S. and Asia-Pacific.
