Andreessen Horowitz Closes $650M Venture Capital Fund

Andreessen Horowitz, the Menlo Park, CA-based venture capital firm launched in 2009 by Ben Horowitz and Marc Andreessen, has held the final close of its second fund at $650m.
The fund intnds to invest from $50,000 to $50m in technology startups at seed, venture and growth stages working in the technology sector (including cloud computing, Web, mobile, and consumer electronics companies).

To date the company has made 28 investments in high growth technology companies such as Kno, Nicira, Proferi, Rockmelt, Zynga, Foursquare and Skype.
