SiOnyx Inc., a Beverly, MA-based innovator in high-performance photonics, has completed a $12.5M Series B financing.
New investors Coherent Inc., Crosslink Capital and Vulcan Capital joined existing investors Polaris Venture Partners and Harris & Harris.
This new funding will enable the company to launch its first commercial products and expand the suite of solutions offered to its strategic partners.
SiOnyx is commercializing a new semiconductor processing technique that is designed to develop smaller and high-performing silicon photonic devices. The company is currently working with a number of industry and government partners to advance the use of its technology.
