rPath Raises $7M in 4th Venture Capital Funding

rPath, a Raleigh, N.C.-based company that acts as a service factory for automating software system construction, image generation and lifecycle management of standardized software components and stacks across physical, virtual and cloud environments, has raised $7m in its fourth venture capital funding.

The round, which brings the total capital raised by the company to date to $32.5m, was led by existing investors North Bridge Venture Partners and General Catalyst Partners.
rPath automation solutions allow agile operations, self-service IT, private and hybrid clouds, and other IT-as-a-service initiatives. The company’s systems are designed to improve responsiveness to business lines, reduce compliance risks, and allow resource-constrained IT organizations to significantly reduce operating costs.
Clients include some of the world’s largest enterprises and ISVs.
