Cyber-Rain Raises $1.8M in Series B Funding Round

Cyber-Rain, a Los Angeles, CA-based maker and provider of irrigation controller system to the residential and commercial markets, has completed a $1.8m Series B financing round.
The round was led by DeWaay Investment Partners, with participation from new investor Athenian Venture Partners, Momentum Venture Management and Funk Ventures, which led the Series A round in 2009.
In conjunction with the funding, Adam Claypool, Managing Director of DeWaay’s Investment Partners, has joined Cyber-Rain’s board of directors.
Launched in 2007, the company checks the weather via the internet and automatically adjusts watering schedules, allowing to save up to 40% on water bills by stopping sprinkler systems on rainy days and automatically decreasing the watering schedule when it is cold or humid. Since the launch, Cyber-Rain has been installed in more than 1200 residential and commercial sites.
