Creative Artists Agency, a global entertainment and sports agency, has received an equity investment of undisclosed amount from TPG Capital.
TPG has taken a non-controlling (35%) interest in the agency.
Additionally, Creative Artists Agency and TPG have committed to create a $500m pledge fund, providing access to significant capital for future investments.
Creative Artists Agency represents many of the most successful professionals working in film, television, music, sports, video games, theatre, and the Internet, and provides a range of strategic marketing and consulting services to corporate clients. Represented sports professionals include Derek Jeter, Shaun White, Novak Djokovic, Cristiano Ronaldo, the New York Yankees, Chelsea FC, and the NCAA’s Pacific-10 Conference.
Commenting on the investment, David Bonderman, TPG Founding said: “…we look forward to supporting CAA at this exciting inflection point in their evolution as they look to expand their operations and services around the globe”.
