RxEye, a Swedish developer of a web-based service for procurement, quality assurance and exchange of x-ray images, has raised €2m.
Investors include Industrifonden and Praktikerinvest, a subsidiary to Praktikertjänst.
Through RxEye’s service, a physician can read images regardless of the hospital or radiology department where they are taken. The company will primarily focus on radiology, although the service also works for e.g. pathology, cardiology and ultrasound.
The capital will enable the company to ramp up operations and launch the service in Sweden. As steted by Magnus Hök, President of RxEye, after the end of the year “we plan to start up in England, which faces one of the biggest shortages of radiologists in Europe”.
