Cirtas Systems, a San Jose, CA-based provider of a cloud-enabled enterprise storage system, has closed a $10m Series A funding round.
Investors include NEA, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Amazon.
The company also announced that it is coming out from stealth mode today as it made available to the general market its Bluejet Cloud Storage Controller solution. Deployed in the data center, the newly launched system aims to simplify storage management and reduce data storage TCO for medium to large enterprises.
Founded in 2008, the company will use the capital for infrastructure investments to support the development of its Bluejet technology, including acquisition of engineers and scaling of its marketing, sales and customer deployment teams.
