Kamps Acquired by German Equity Partners III

Kamps GmbH, a Schwalmtal, Germany-based single brand bakery chain with more than 900 shops nation-wide, has received an investment of undisclosed amount from funds managed by ECM Equity Capital Management GmbH.
In particular, the fund German Equity Partners III is acquiring a majority equity interest from Lieken AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Barilla Iniziative S.r.l., and will be joined as shareholders by the Kamps management.
Kamps sources its products from five industrial bakeries and employs about 1,000 people.
ECM Equity Capital Management is an independent investment company based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, managing the private equity fund German Equity Partners III, whose investment focus is on mid-sized companies in the manufacturing and service sectors in addition to the retail industry.
Typical acquisition targets are companies with annual revenues of €25m to €500m ranges involved in management buyouts.
