EnterpriseDB Receives investment from KT; Raises Venture Capital from TransLink Capital

EnterpriseDB, a Westford, Mass-based company provider of products, services, support and training based on the PostgreSQL open source database, has received a strategic investment from KT and has raised venture capital funding from TransLink Capital.
The new funding will enable the company to expand its product and marketing operations.
In conjunction with the investment, TransLink Capital’s Co-founder and Managing Director Jay Eum has joined EnterpriseDB’s board of directors.
KT and TransLink Capital have joined existing company’s funding partners including Valhalla Partners, Charles River Ventures, Volition Capital (formerly Fidelity Ventures), IBM, NTT, Red Hat and Sony.
Using PostgreSQL at the core of its products, the company allows enterprise customers to deliver the economies and freedom of open source. Founded in 2004, the company also operates offices in North America, Europe and Asia.
