Aristotle Circle Raises over $450,000 in Series A Financing

Aristotle Circle, Inc., a New York-based education and admissions expert network, has raised over $450,000 in its Series A round of financing.
The round includes prominent angel and early-stage start-up investors including Michael Yavonditte.
The company will use the new capital to accelerate technology and product development and expand services and marketing in both pre-K to 12th grade and college domestic and international markets.
Aristotle Circle, which began fund raising efforts in April as a finalist at the New York Open Angel Forum, uses a matchmaking model to connect parents to experts in admissions, education, and child development.
The company offers services ranging from pre-K to graduate school admissions to special needs education and advocacy. Its network currently includes over 200 experts serving more than 500 clients in 26 states and 7 countries.
In conjunction with the funding, the company hired Dr. Kim Har as Director of Childhood Education. He will lead development of products and services for the pre-college market, including childhood test preparation and tutoring.
