A $500m venture capital fund has been launched by Singapore-based Asia Media & Technology Capital Management Private Limited (AMTC). AMTC will invest into Asia-based companies, with particular emphasis on China, focusing on Media and Technology sectors including digital media, monetization, social media, digital TV and distribution platforms.
The fund has already attracted investment interests from governmental organizations, sovereign wealth funds and private sector companies.
AMTC has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Beijing-based China Information Broadcast Network Company Limited (CIBN) to collaborate on media industry venture investments in China.
