Neuros Medical Receives $1.5M from the U.S. Department of Defense

Neuros Medical, Inc., a Cleveland, Ohio-based medical device company, has received a $1.5m Applied Research and Technology Development Award from the U.S. Department of Defense.
The award will aid technology development and human clinical research for the company’s novel neurostimulation therapy, called Nerve Block, focusing on the treatment of chronic residual limb pain chronic post surgical pain, chronic migraine, and trigeminal neuralgia, which are suffered by nearly one million amputees.
Neuros Medical’s technology utilizes high frequency alternating current stimulation to block chronic pain signals in the peripheral nervous system.
The award was provided by the Defense Medical Research and Development Program (DMRDP).
