Livefyre, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based real-time conversation and commenting platform, received a Series A funding of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Hillsven Capital, with participation from early stage venture funds, Zelkova Ventures, ff Asset Management, and business angels Travis Kalanick and Paige Craig.
The funding will be used to expand the engineering team and continue to work for future product releases.
Livefyre’s commenting platform turns comment sections into live conversations, increasing the quality of them, and drives traffic to content around the web.
It connects conversations happening all over the web in real-time, drives relevant traffic to blogs covering similar topics, and allows for a universal user reputation system that increases the quality of conversations across the web.
Three different versions of the embeddable product will be available. The Blogger version is free and is complimented by paid publisher and white-label versions. All users will be part of the Livefyre network.
The company will launch a private beta product on July 14.
