E-Trader Group Secures “Significant” Second Round Funding from MMC Ventures

E-Trader Group, a London, UK-based operator of two online marketplaces, has secured “significant” second round funding from existing investor MMC Ventures.
The funds will be used to support the further growth of the business. As stated by Rory Stirling, Investment Manager at MMC Ventures, “The further funding will be used to capitalise on E-Trader’s first mover position in the UK business-to-business trade marketplace and allow it to continue scaling its technology and infrastructure to meet the needs of its customers and vendors”.
In conjunction with the funding, John Morris joins the company as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, he was director of lastminute.com and COO of viagogo.
E-Trader operates:
Stockshifters.com, a trade marketplace for secondary goods, which provides retailers and manufacturers with a dedicated online facility to sell overstock, end of line/clearance stock and returns to trade buyers.
Koodos.com, a UK private sales club offering consumers high-end fashion at discounted prices.
