CALIENT Technologies, Inc., a Santa Barbara, CA-based manufacturer of innovative Fiber Optic Cross-Connection Systems (FOCS) for telecommunications service providers worldwide, is raising an expansion-financing round of $10m, including support from its major existing investors.
In conjunction with the funding, the company has named Arjun Gupta as Chairman and Gregory Koss as chief executive officer.
New Chairman Arjun Gupta is a long time CALIENT investor and founder and Managing Partner of Telesoft Partners. New CEO Gregory Koss is a veteran in the technology industry who has extensive experience in rebuilding companies.
The company, which has also changed its name to CALIENT Technologies, will use the new capital to expand and enter into new markets.
