BuzzLogic, a San Francisco, CA-based digital media company that operates a an advertising platform for isolating audiences engaged in specific blog conversations online, has closed an $8.8m Series B round of funding.
The investment was led by Adams Capital Management, with participation from Ackerley Partners.
The capital infusion will allow the company to further scale its national sales team and invest in additional product development.
John Donahue (formerly of Omnicom Media Group), has joined BuzzLogic as CTO .
The company also launched its new content distribution ad unit, BuzzRoll™, which is aimed to help brands create more meaningful connections with blog readers reached through its system.
It is designed to work in conjunction with the Conversational Ad Targeting Platform, which uses advanced content and social analysis to target ads to blog readers.
