Snaptu Raises $6M in Series B Funding Round

Snaptu, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based mobile platform that delivers services that work on every mobile phone, has raised $6m in series B funding round.
The investment was led by Carmel Ventures, with participation from existing investor Sequoia Capital.
 
In conjunction with the funding, Rina Shainski, General Partner of Carmel Ventures, will join Snaptu’s board.
Snaptu’s app allows mobile users who do not have advanced smartphones to access online services including social networks, news, sports, weather and other web tools.
