OpenPeak Inc., a Boca Raton, Florida-based provider of multimedia touch-screen devices and device management platforms, has raised a further $52m of equity, debt and working capital financing.The package includes:
– Venture funding, which was provided by Intel Capital and existing investors;
– debt financing, which comes from Horizon Technology Finance and Velocity Financial Group;
– a working capital line provded by GE Capital’s Commercial Distribution Finance unit.
The new capital will allow OpenPeak to further develop its products and expand into new markets.
The company recently released its OpenTablet(TM) 7, a portable, touch-screen device, which integrates high-quality telephony with advanced multimedia communications services and applications. Suitable for home, enterprise and hospitality envirnoments, with the addition of an available energy management solution, OpenTablet 7 becomes a complete communications and energy system management center.
In addition to its line of devices, the company’s integrated device management services enable providers to remotely provision, monitor and update customer devices on demand over broadband networks.
