Geodelic raises $7M in Series B Equity Financing

Geodelic, a Santa Monica, CA-based mobile media platform, has raised $7m in a Series B equity financing.

The investment was led by MK Capital, with participation from existing investors Clearstone Venture Partners and Shasta Ventures.
Founded in 2008, the company has raised to date to over $10m.

The Geodelic application, which enables users to automatically discover grocery stores, gas stations, retailers, restaurants and other points of interest within a geographical area, is available for Android and iPhone and is currently in development for Blackberry devices.

The Geodelic network also contains content-specific mobile guides like Greenopia, a guide that allows users to find and interact with eco-friendly retailers, restaurants and other service providers in 59 cities across the US, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which enables users to discover Hollywood’s most popular attraction, locate their favorite stars of stage and screen and to access photos and biographies.
In the next few months, the company will announce additional product features and partnerships with companies operating in the advertising, entertainment and wireless technology industries.
