RealDirect, a New York-based on-line real estate marketing platform which allows homeowners to market and sell their properties, has raised a seed round of funding.
Investors include venture capital firm Greenhill SAVP as well as individual investors Scott Kurnit, Founder of About.com, Barry Silbert, Founder and CEO of SecondMarket, Jonah Neuman, President of Medley Realty and Jacob Pechenik, Founder and CEO of YellowJacket.
In conjunction with the financing, Brian Hirsch, Managing Director, Greenhill SAVP, will join the company’s board of directors.
RealDirect allows homeowners to market and sell properties, either on their own, or with the help of an affiliated agent. Clients can pay on a fee for service basis or through variable commissions.
The company has just launched its full service offering in closed Beta with service for Manhattan sellers and buyers. Expansion to self serve will occur during the summer. Service to the metro New York area is expected later this year.
