Yankee Group Research, Inc., a Boston, MA-based technology research firm, received a $10m investment from Alta Communications, a private equity firm and the company’s majority shareholder.
The new capital will enable Yankee Group to double its research team over the next two years, as well as deepen its research and data portfolio to further address the 4G marketplace and augment its analysis of the impact of rising user demand on telecommunications networks.
As a part of this growth strategy, the company has also opened an executive search for a new CEO to replace Emily Nagle Green, who will become the chairman of the board later this year.
Yankee Group has operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
