Krishidhan Seeds Limited, a Maharashtra, India-based developer, producer and supplier of proprietary hybrid seeds and selections to Indian farmers, has received a $30m minority investment from Summit Partners.
The company, which has a pan-India presence and offers a diversified portfolio of more than 120 products including field crops, vegetable seeds and crop nutrition, will use the funds for research and development, technology and product-related acquisitions, international expansion, and infrastructure.
In conjunction with the investment, Amit Chaturvedy and Vinay Kashyap of Summit Partners, will become a director and a board observer of the company, respectively.
