Karmasphere Secures $5M in Series A funding

Karmasphere, a Los Gatos, CA-based software company which develops software that helps engineers to develop, deploy and debug large-scale data processing jobs, has secured $5m in Series A funding from venture capital firms Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and U.S. Venture Partners (USVP)
In conjunction with the investment, Ann Winblad, managing director at Hummer Winblad, and David Liddle, general partner at USVP, will join Martin Hall, Karmasphere co-founder, president and CEO, on the company’s board of directors. 
The funds will be used to further commercialize Karmasphere Studio, which is a software for analyzing large data sets.
