Investment fund for West Midlands’ SMEs launched

Advantage West Midlands’ £8m Early Advantage fund, the new investment vehicle created to support the region’s most innovative companies, is open for business.
Managed by Birmingham-based Midven, the fund is backed by Advantage West Midlands and the European Regional Development Fund.
It will make investments of between £25,000 and £400,000 in early stage companies across a wide range of market sectors. The fund’s investment must be matched by private resources. For this reason, Midven will work closely with regional angel networks, and local and national institutional investors.
