UK, Government Launches £200M Future Technologies Fund of Funds

Within the framework of the UK Innovation Investment Fund (UKIIF), the UK Government launched a new £200m fund of funds, which will invest in start-ups and fast growing businesses in the ICT, advanced manufacturing and life sciences sectors.
The UK Future Technology Fund (UK FTF LP) will be managed by the European Investment Fund (EIF), which will use £100m of Government funding alongside commitments of £100m from private sector investors, in order to create an initial pool for investment of £200m.
This new initiative follows an announcement that £125m from the UKIIF will be invested in low carbon and clean tech sectors, bringing the total UKIIF investment to £325m.
