Samsung and Handmark Announce Global Venture Fund Winners

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., the mobile phone provider, and Handmark®, the creator and distributor of mobile applications and services, today announced the winners of its Global Venture Fund.

Managed by Handmark in partnership with Samsung Ventures and Samsung Electronics, the Global Venture Fund was established to assist companies and/or individuals with the development of innovative ideas for next generation Samsung mobile phones, including the recently announced Samsung Wave.
Samsung and Handmark selected 30 titles from more than 15 developers to receive funding, including:
– My Little Baby by Raylight
– Glo by Mere Mortals
– Grid by Fishing Cactus
– polyhedral XL by Binary Hammer
– Aces Texas Hold’em – No Limit by Concrete Software
  -TwinBlades by Press Start Studio

Specific funding amounts were not released however each selected application listed above was eligible for up to $250,000 in funding.
In addition to the funding, Handmark will provide assistance with development, testing and certification, as well as distribution of the application through the Samsung Apps.
