Navigenics Raises $18M in Series C Financing

Navigenics, a Foster City, CA-based provider of personalized genetic testing, has raised approximately $18m is its Series C financing.
Procter and Gamble has joined existing investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers and Mohr Davidow Ventures, also participating in this round.
Through its technology, the company provides people with a view into their DNA, revealing thier genetic predispositions for important health conditions and help them apply those insights to health.
The new capital will enable Navigenics to continue its research into the impact of genomics on preventive health care, expand its clinical offerings into exciting new areas and lead the way in making personal genomics an integral part of employer-sponsored preventive health and wellness programs.
