Intel Capital and China Investment Corporation Sign Agreement to Invest in High Tech Companies

Intel Capital, Intel Corporation’s global investment organization, and China Investment Corporation (CIC), China’s sovereign wealth fund, have signed an agreement to invest in technology innovation globally.
The collaboration is aimed to identify and support strategic investments in innovative companies across a wide range of technology sectors including cleantech, software and services, mobility and digital home, among others.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two entities will explore investments outside of China, combining resources to both evaluate potential investments and support companies in their next stages of development.
While the scope of the collaboration is global, particular cross border opportunities that will benefit both the U.S. and China will be considered.
