Butterfly Gem® Collection Inc., a Quebec City, Canada-based gem designer, has received $115,000 in repayable funding from the Government of Canada.
Granted through the Business and Regional Growth program, this financing will enable the company to create six new jobs and pursue its North American and International market expansion.
Through its research and development activities, the company created the Butterfly Gem® cut, an innovative design that involves cutting gemstones to replicate the shape of a butterfly.
Currently patented in Canada, the United States and France, the cut creates maximum luminescence within the stone.
The firm’s BFly® line of children’s jewellery is sold in more than 800 retail outlets across Canada and North America.
