Last December, Jinni, a Yehud, Israel-based content discovery engine for movies and TV programs, secured $1.6m in a second funding round led by DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures.
Start Up Factory, the Israeli Angels Club which led the company’s seed round, joined this round as well.
As stated by Mike Pohl, Jinni’s CEO, the funds will be used to take the company to the next stage in its growth and development.
Founded by Yosi Glick and Izik Ben-Zaken, Jinni’s engine provides people with a personalized way of finding their favourite content through the current offering, which is shifting from linear programming to Video on Demand services with large catalogs, PVR recorded programs, and web-based movies and videos.
