HaloSource Raises $10M

HaloSource, Inc., a Bothell, Washington-based clean water technology company, has raised $10m from new investors.
The financing involved several international investors including Prime Partners Asia Merchant Capital of Singapore.
Since 2007, the company has raised more than $30m from investors including the Masdar Clean Tech Fund, Unilever Technology Ventures, Origo Partners PLC and Mars Inc.
The funds will enable HaloSource to support the further commercialization of its water purification business, whose technology provides low-cost water purification without the need for electricity or piped water. It kills viruses and bacteria to produce safe drinking water.
The company supplies regional, super-regional and multinational water device manufacturers that seek higher performance related to primary disinfection, bio-film inhibition and safe storage.
HaloSource operates manufacturing plants and offices in Raymond, Washington, Shanghai, China, and Bangalore, India.
