Celsius X VI II, a Paris, France-based luxury mobile phone maker, has received €3,3m in equity funding from venture capital firms.
The round was led by Sofinnova Partners, with participation from AGF Private Equity and other private investors.
The company is creating a mobile phone, the Papillon, which replaces chips and electronics with moving parts.
According to reports, the luxury item will be commercialised in a dozen watch or jewellery stores globally and cost around €20,000.
