Webvanta Inc., a Sebastopol, CA-based developer of an innovative content management system, has closed a Series A financing round from North Bay Angels.
The company, whcih develops a hosted content management system (CMS) that allows designers to build content-rich sites with structured data, reducing the time and effort required to build and deploy a dynamic web site, will use the new funds to continue advancing its products, to expand marketing efforts, and add support staff.
Webvanta was founded by Michael Slater, CEO, and Christopher Haupt, CTO, in September 2007.
