Paris-Based Demeter Partners Closes €203M Cleantech Fund

Demeter Partners, a Paris-based independent management company, announced the final closing of its second fund Demeter 2, which closed its subscription period on December 15th, 2009 at €203m.
Demeter 2 was launched on November 18th, 2008 with an objective of €200m and a first closing at €125m.
Investors in the fund include 2 sponsors (CDC Entreprises within the framework of FSI France Investissement, IFP Investissements), existing investors Cardif, Robeco, CM-CIC, CNP Assurances, Predica and new investors European Investment Fund (EIF), Neotec (Spanish Fund of fund), Pictor, Total, Dalhia, GDF Suez, Actys 2, Crédit Coopératif and AXA.
Demeter 2 is focused on expansion investments in cleantech companies operating in France, Spain and Germany.
The Demeter Partners’ team includes fourteen people in Paris. The firm also has an office in Madrid (with 5 people) and Berlin (2 people).
