Afonwen Laundry, an independent laundry & linen hire company supplying over 400 hotels, received a £1m debt investment from Finance Wales.
The company, which has sites in Pwllheli, Cardiff and a sister company, Whiteriver Laundry, in Leeds, has already invested £11m in the business since 1999 and has embarked on a further expansion with the opening of a new facility in Cardiff in June last year.
The funding from Finance Wales will enable the company, which currently supplies over 25,000 hotel bedrooms throughout Wales and large parts of England, to continue its growth, acquiring new linen stocks and ensuring clients receive the best possible service.
Its client base includes a wide range of nationwide branded corporate and budget hotels to small independent boutique hotels.
