TAITRA and Google Cooperate to Encourage Taiwan’s SMEs

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Google signed a “Free Try-out Plan of Google’s Keyword Advertisements for Taiwantrade Members” to support over 6,000 small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs).
According to the plan, Google will provide $6.6m worth of keyword ad spaces free of charge to Taiwan’s SMEs, assist Taiwantrade members to establish Google AdWords accounts, and offer suggestions on optimizing keywords and Internet marketing strategies.
The cooperation is aimed to raise further the efficacy of the “New Zheng He Plan” launched by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs last year by combining more effectively the resources of actual trade exhibitions with virtual Internet marketing, to invigorate Taiwan’s export trade more.
Google’s Managing Director of Taiwan, Mr. Lee-Feng Chien stated that through Google’s global platform and network broadcasting, which reach 75% of unrepeated Internet users worldwide in over 40 languages, Taiwan’s SMEs will be marketed to more than 100 countries and regions all over the world.
