FireEye Receives Strategic Investment by In-Q-Tel

FireEye, Inc., a Milpitas, CA-based developer of malware protection systems, today announced a strategic investment and technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel, the independent strategic investment firm that identifies innovative technology solutions to support the missions of the U.S. Intelligence Community.
According to an official statement, this partnership will extend FireEye’s cyber security product development and stealth malware technical capabilities to protect against cyber threats.
Commenting on the agreement, T.J. Rylander, a Partner at In-Q-Tel, said: “FireEye is a critical addition to our strategic investment portfolio for security technologies.
“FireEye offers a valuable combination of next-generation malware protection, and its approach to detecting and defeating malware is unique and potentially game changing”.

“Working with In-Q-Tel allows us to provide the U.S. Intelligence Community with a technology solution to help defeat cyber threats, and to directly address critical national security needs”.
