The European Investment Bank (EIB) agreed a €10m credit line to Societe Generale Banque de Polynesie (SGBP) to provide commercial financing for sponsors of investments in the environmental sector.
The funding will strengthen SGBP’s capacity to support companies pursuing environmentally sustainable business practices and investments.
Environmental projects eligible for financial assistance include:
– renewable energy,
– energy efficiency,
– pollution abatement technology,
– environmental municipal services.
The projects financed in the framework of the agreement are expected to stimulate investments in environmental initiatives essential for sustainable development of the area.
