Cloud Computing Firm Saaspoint Raises $2M

Saaspoint, a cloud computing consulting and applications company, has raised $2m to support the next phase of its development.
Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Government agency responsible for the development of local businesses, and other private investors, have taken a small equity stake in the company.
As stated by John Appleby, chairman of Saaspoint, the funds will be used to build further intellectual property (IP) and invest in existing and future cloud computing applications.
Founded in 2005, by original founders of salesforce.com EMEA, the company employs 34 people, 15 of which are long term specialist contractors. Saaspoint operates in the UK, Europe and North America and has offices in London, Dublin, Stockholm and Denver.
Its partners include Google.
