Aquiline Capital Partners LLC, a New York-based private equity firm investing in the financial services sector, announced that its Funds have made an investment in TigerRisk Partners LLC. Aquiline’s initial investment will support the continued organic growth of TigerRisk, with substantial additional equity available for acquisitions in the U.S. and Europe and to further develop its platform.
TigerRisk, which is based in Greenwich, CT with offices in New York, Minneapolis, Chicago, Dallas, and San Antonio, is a reinsurance broker and risk/capital management advisor that was founded in 2008 by Jim Stanard, a founder and former CEO of Renaissance Re, and Rod Fox, former CEO of the U.S. operations of Benfield.
According to TigerRisk’s CEO Rod Fox, this partnership with Aquiline will allow the company to expand its ability to employ the best professionals in the industry in a high quality private company environment, while benefiting from Aquiline’s deep knowledge of the insurance industry.
