UK, Nujira Raises £10M

Cambridge, UK-based Nujira completed a £10m funding in a round including new investor Environmental Technologies Fund and existing investors Bank Invest, 3i, Amadeus, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital.
The proceeds will be used to accelerate development of its handset technology and support expansion into a new market as well as general commercial development of Cellular Infrastructure and TV Broadcast sectors.
Commenting on the funding, Nujira CEO Tim Haynes, was quoted saying: “The new investment provides Nujira the opportunity to continue with the commercialisation of its Coolteq products, and to promote our technology into new markets”.
Nujira’s mission is to dramatically improve the energy efficiency of cellular network base stations and digital broadcast transmitters by reducing the amount of waste energy dissipated as heat in the RF Power Amplifier circuit.
