Legion Technologies Raises $22M in Series B Funding

Legion, a Redwood City, CA-based AI-powered workforce management solution that simultaneously drives labor efficiency and employee engagement, raised $22m in Series B financing.

The round, which brings the total amount raised to $35.5m, was led by Stripes, with Workday Ventures, Dollar General and NTT DOCOMO Ventures joining the round. Existing investors Norwest Venture Partners, First Round Capital, XYZ Ventures and Webb Investment Network also participated. In conjunction with the funding, Paul Melchiorre, Stripes Operating Partner, will join Legion’s board of directors.

This funding round will enable the company to grow its next-generation workforce management platform globally.

Led by Sanish Mondkar, Founder and CEO, Legion provides an autonomous, AI-powered Workforce Management platform that enables companies to manage labor spend. Customers across industries including retail, hospitality, healthcare, and manufacturing use it to reduce costs, compliance risks and labor inefficiencies, and boost employee engagement. In the last 12 months, the company has grown by almost 300%, with customers including Dollar General, Cinemark Theaters, and Racetrac Petroleum managing over 300,000 employees on the platform.
