Wintermute Secures $2.8M in Series A Funding

Wintermute, a London, UK-based algorithmic liquidity provider for digital assets, raised $2.8M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its expansion into new liquidity products, specifically derivatives, over-the counter (OTC) market making and DeFi, enabling it to further contribute to the liquid and efficient markets across the crypto eco-system.

Led by Evgeny Gaevoy, founder and CEO, Wintermute is a crypto-native market maker, focused on building a decentralized financial system by creating liquid markets with transparent prices. The proprietary trading system connects a large number of liquidity pools across centralized and decentralized sources. This round of funding follows the seed round the company closed in February 2020, led by Ventures, the venture arm of, a long-term Wintermute business partner.
