Pod Network, a Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based innovative new location-based social mobile app, completed a $5m seed funding.
The round was led by PACA Ventures and Anthony Misitano, founder of Post Acute Medical.
Led by CEO and Founder Dr. Jo Webber, Pod is a mobile social media platform based on location and interest. The app connects users based on physical location and professional and personal interest tags. It enables people to create communities where common threads prevail. Going beyond digital connections, Pod promotes discovery and meaningful engagement in person or virtually.
Launched in 2019, Pod has five million users who have established over 63 million connections world-wide.
